Control Systems Lead: Eason Huang is a graduate of UW-Madison (MS Statistics) and UC Irvine (BS Mathematics & Computer Science). He’s a serial entrepreneur related to AI agent products, with expertise in taking large models from research to production-grade deployment.
At Heima, Eason owns the real-time control layer. He is also responsible for designing the OS abstraction layer and hardware interfaces: the bridge between high-level AI and physical execution.
Hardware Engineer: Steve Guangcai holds a PhD in Solid Mechanics from Jilin University's School of Mechanical Engineering, with specialized training in finite element analysis, structural mechanics, and materials science. He served as Deputy Factory Manager at Jilin General Machinery Factory, overseeing industrial manufacturing operations and production workflows. His technical expertise includes battery management system design, power electronics, embedded development on STM32 microcontrollers, and multi-axis motion control programming.
At Heima, Steve owns hardware integration—battery systems, electrical wiring, full robot assembly, and system-level testing—and will lead the transition to mass production.
Mechanical Design Engineer: Jack Xu is a graduate of Jilin University (MS Mechanical Manufacturing & Automation) and Changchun Institute of Technology (BS). He was a Senior Engineer at Jilin University's School of Mechanical Engineering and at SANY Heavy Industry, where he developed throttle control systems for heavy machinery. He led more than 10 projects spanning automated production lines, robotic systems, and precision tooling, including intelligent baggage handling arms, wheel rim weld processing automation, and wheeled robot structural optimization. He has more than 10 patents filed and was awarded 3 experimental technology awards.
At Heima, Jack owns production-grade mechanical design—3D modeling, parts engineering, and manufacturing-ready hardware.
Simulation & RL Policy Engineer: Xiang Yao is a graduate of Fudan University (BS) and University of Hong Kong (MS). He is an entrepreneur across multiple AI startups, holding roles as backend engineer, agent algorithm engineer, and co-founder. Most recently, he was an algorithm engineer at a leading Chinese embodied AI company, with hands-on experience tuning locomotion control for both humanoid and quadruped robots on real hardware, plus grasping algorithms.
At Heima, he is responsible for the simulation-to-real pipeline—training reinforcement learning policies in simulation and transferring them to physical hardware.
